Friends of Wyckoff: Our Mission
The Friends of Wyckoff is a non-partisan, non-profit citizens' organization dedicated to improving the environment and the quality of life in Wyckoff by, among other activities, supporting smart growth and the preservation of open space, our community character, and historical structures and sites. We also conduct educational activities fostering protection of the environment and encourage civic involvement in our community. The IRS has recognized the Friends of Wyckoff, Inc. as a non-profit 501(c) 4 organization.Want to help?
We need volunteers for all of our initiatives. Please email: volunteer@friendsofwyckoff.org. You don't have to make a big commitment-as little as 30 minutes a week would help us plenty! If you have an interest in or ideas about any of the following, please consider volunteering time and expertise:- Impacts of Development in Wyckoff (traffic, noise, higher taxes)
- Land Use issues - Land Trusts, Conservation Easements
- Tree preservation
- Historic structure preservation-especially the Zabriskie House
- Legal expertise/research capability
- Philanthropic activity - Land acquisition in Wyckoff
- Water quality/environmental issues
- Preservation/enforcement of zoning laws
