Russell Farms Update
On December 6, the Wyckoff Township Committee held the public hearing on the ordinance authorizing the purchase of Russell Farms, and then passed the ordinance later that evening. The acquisition is contingent on the receipt by the developer of a "no further action" letter from the state Department of Environmental Protection indicating that the pesticide clean-up at the site has been successfully completed. After receipt of this letter, the Township can take possession in exchange for the $3.1 million.

Electronics recycling day-Saturday, May 16, 2009
Electronic Recycling Day A Success
The Eisenhower Service Project along with the Friends of Wyckoff held their third electronic recycling day on May 16. Nearly a ton of unwanted electronics were dropped off at the Wyckoff Reformed Church parking lot from 9 am to noon, and quickly filling an 18-foot truck. Radios, computers, keyboards, and televisions were some of the popular items dropped off. Working items were separated and donated to needy organizations and our military overseas. Cell phones were donated to the American Diabetes Association and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Since this first electronic drive was held before the township of Wyckoff offered an electronic recycling center to residents, flyers were given out to encourage residents to use Wyckoff’s Electronic Recycling Center that opened in January 2009 on West Main Street. Many residents commented that this Friends of Wyckoff-sponsored drive was convenient. “I like the fact that the working electronics go to good causes,” commented a Wyckoff, NJ resident. “I hope they do it again in the fall!”
